Richard Ambrosio
SRCC founding member Rich Ambrosio graduated from Stockton State College with a major in Environmental Studies in 1986. As a NJDEP Water Compliance & Enforcement official from 1989 to 2018, Rich’s responsibilities included inspections and enforcement of Water Pollution Control Acts.
As the lead inspector for NJPDES stormwater permits, he was responsible for oversight on construction sites, junkyards and all types of recycling facilities. He also was the NJDAg/DEP Soil Conservation District’s liaison for Construction General Stormwater Permit inspections and investigations from 1992-2018, and served on the Governor’s select Committee to merge all of DEP enforcement programs into one cohesive Enforcement Division from 1996-98.
Rich served on the SRCC board of directors from 2002-2004, and rejoined the board from 2018 to the present. Rich served on the Neptune Township Environmental/Shade Tree Commission as a member and Chair from 2003-2024, and the Neptune Township Planning Board from 2005-2024.
Currently, Rich is a private Consultant for NJPDES RVR, SM2, and other stormwater permits.
